ITINERARY

Day01. Arrive Paro
Ona clear day, the flight to Paro is breathtaking, with views of the Himalayan Mountains such as, the sacred Chomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tserimgang. Our representative will greet u on arrival, and then you shall be taken to the hotel.

• Visit Ta Dzong (built in 1656 and renovated in 1968), an ancient watchtower.
• Rimpung Dzong ( Built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, in 1646)

Day02. Paro: Excursion to Taktsang Monaetery

• Hike to Taktsang Monastery, lunch Taksang Cafeteria.
• After the hike, Drive to Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress. Built in 1647 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal
• Visit Kichu Lhakhang built by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo. This temple marks the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan

Day03. Start Trek: Paro.-Jele Dzong
(Altitude 3500m, Distance 10 km, Walking Time 3-4 hours)
• Trek start with a short climb to Jele Dzong
• Above the camp is the Jele Dzong

Day04. Jele Dzong- Jangchulakha
(Altitude 3700m, Distance 10 km, Walking Time 3-4 hours, Ascent 310 meters, Descent 50 meters)
• You may see yak herders around your camp

Day05. Jangchulakha- Jimilangtso
(Altitude 3870m, Distance 11 km, Walking Time 4 hours, Ascent 330 meters, Descent 230 meters)
• There is a great view of Jichu Drake 6989m
• The camp is close to Lake of Jimilangtso

Day06. Jimilangtso-Simkota
(Altitude 4100 m, Distance 11km, Walking Time 4-5 hours, Ascent 820 meters, Descent 400 meters)
• The trail take you through rhododendron trees and by pass the lake of Janetsho
• Camp is close to the SimtokhaLake,Overnight

Day07. Simkota-Phajoding-Thimphu
(Altitude 2520m, Distance 15 km, Walking Time 6-7 hours, Ascent 130 meters, Descent 1820 meters)
• The trail slowly descends down to Phajoding where you can see the view of Thimphu city
• Check In to the Hotel and refreshment. Dinner and Overnight, Thimphu

Day08. Thimphu Sightseeing
• Visit National Memorial Chorten built in 1974 in honour of our late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk( “Father of Modern Bhutan”’,
• Visit the National Library,
• Institute for Zorig Chusum, commonly known as the Painting School,
• Visit the Handicrafts Emporium,
• Visit the Tashichho Dzong

Day09. Thimphu- Paro
• Breakfast in Hotel,
• Visit Traditional Paper Factory,
• Visit Post office,
• Visit to the Tallest Statue of Buddha in the World
• Lunch in Hotel, Drive to Paro
• Visit Paro town, Handicrafts and shopping.
• Overnight in Hotel, Paro

Day10. Paro-end of the tour
• Breakfast in Hotel, Drive to the Airport. Flight on Druk Air.TASHIDELEK
